  1. Hi there,

I've been watching you videos for a couple of days now to solve a problem that I have, but couldn't make much progress to be honest. You really do a terrific job but I don't understand which formula will solve my problem, so instead of trying each possible option, I wanted to ask you.

What I really want is to when I enter a website link in a specific column, I want to get the name and type of that site (click on the link to see an example). I tried VLOOKUP, IF, MATCH formulas but I always get an error. I cannot tell you the amount of frustration I have. I don't understand where I make a mistake. Can you please tell me which formula should I use?

I'm trying to match the values under "Link" column to the "Site" column in a reference list, and when I get a partial match (because links change) I want that to be returned under "Name" column, and then want to "Type" colum to be filled in accordance with the value in the Reference List (Should I use INDEX?). I'm so confused.

    Thanks for reading.
